Evening Concert
The evening concert on Friday, November 25 will be interpreted by Patty Gordon and Claire Alexander. Deaf storyteller Peter Cook will perform in ASL.
Story Slam
The Story Slam on Saturday evening will be interpreted by Renee Kerrigan and Krystal Riordan, and Deaf tellers are encouraged to come and tell their own stories!
Children’s Concert
The Children’s Concert on Saturday morning will be interpreted by Renee Kerrigan and Krystal Riordan.
Workshops
Peter Cook will teach ‘Narrative Development of Personal Experience Storytelling’ in ASL from 10am – 12pm on Saturday, November 26. The workshop will be entirely in ASL.
Beverly Cottman’s workshop, ‘Ordinary Objects Inspire Extraordinary Stories,’ will be interpreted by David Evans and Patty Gordon. The workshop is from 12:30 – 2pm on Saturday.

Afternoon Performances and Open Mics
Renee Kerrigan and Krystal Riordan will be available to interpret afternoon events, including performances and open mics, by request on a first-come first-served basis. Email events@northstarstorytelling.org in advance or come to the information table on the day of the event.
About our interpreters
Claire Alexander, CI/CT, has her BA in ASL interpretation, and specializes in medical, performance, and DeafBlind work. She served as interpreter coordinator for the Minnesota Fringe Festival for three years. She has previously worked for Walking Shadow Theater Company, Mixed Blood, Minneapolis Musical Theater, Park Square Theater, Bloomington Civic Theatre, Guthrie Lab, and various musical choruses.
David N. Evans is a nationally-certified interpreter with a comprehensive history providing ASL-English interpretation services in a variety of settings, specializing in music/performing arts and conference work. He has interpreted for numerous conferences from the local to international levels. Additionally, David presents in-service training workshops to interpreter students and practitioners across the country. When not on the road interpreting or presenting, David makes his home in Minneapolis.
Patty Gordon is a nationally certified sign language interpreter (RID CI/CT; NIC:Advanced; EIPA 4.7) who works in diverse settings including community, legislative, medical, and performing arts including interpreting for major theater companies, Broadway touring shows, and Deaf performing artists Peter Cook, Gil Eastman and Patrick Graybill. She is an adjunct instructor in the ASL and Interpreting Department of St. Catherine University and the co-director of StoryBlend, a 2-week theater-based immersion program for new interpreters.
Renee Kerrigan is a nationally certified (NIC) sign language interpreter. She works full-time as an educational interpreter but has experience working in a variety of settings, including education, freelance, religious and theatre. She has enjoyed being a part of this event for the past two years and is looking forward to Tellebration 2011!
Krystal Riordan is a certified sign language interpreter (NIC) and has worked in a variety of interpreting settings, including video relay, education, and freelance. She interpreted at Tellabration! the last few years and feels lucky to be able to participate once again.
